This is an incredibly touching post. What an amazing light you are to those students. I am beyond grateful to people like you who take the time to make a difference in the lives of young people. You might only teach until May, but your influence will last much, much longer.

Hey beautiful! Great post today! I didn't know you were going to be teaching for the next few months, but I will be praying for you. Your roll with these kids is absolutely critical! You are a light! I know God will use you to touch these kids and love on them!!! I am proud of you! Love you, girl!

I am so glad I checked your blog today.

Being a survivor of domestic violence and a believer of God's grace and mercy, has taught me that often a child's perspective is the closest to reality that there is--that maybe we should just listen. Though, those who have been affected by such tragedies and abuses have had no choice but to mature faster than most other 'normal' children, they are still untainted in how they see things sometimes. The natural human nature of just seeking love is what drives them.

What we may not realize is that when we get down on our knees and cry out to God, we are at the height and level of a child. We are his children and we too are seeking love, God's love.

Thank you Chari for sharing this. You are certainly not alone in your cause to just Do Something. xoxo
