Start Here.

July 13, 2016

I get asked a lot about starting points. Sometimes the questions revolve around writing, or teaching or a possible website. I especially get this question from young epic rock stars in my world that are meant for great things. You know which people I’m talking about, the ones oozing favor and that are 20ish and they know exactly who they are. At 22 I was just trying to grow my eyebrows back and trying to learn how to do my husbands laundry without shrinking it. Unlike me, this next generation has successfully maintained their magical eyebrows and laundry is not an issue. Truth is, I have fallen in love with this generation, they know what they want and they go after it with such fervor. But many of them don’t know where to start and they are just running from destination to destination…So I’m going to tell you what I tell them on where the starting point is for dreams, projects and pretty much everything.

it all starts right here.

If you want to be a speaker one day, speak into the lives of those around you.

If you want to start a blog, get really good at developing content on your social media platform first to ease into content development.

If you want to be a professional singer, sing covers on youtube and build a following there.

Before I ever did any concerts or recorded any albums I sang every song to my mom, my friends, and anyone who would listen. I carried my guitar everywhere. Before I ever taught on a stage with a microphone I shared what God was doing in my life with my circle, my social media, this blog. Impact your circle faithfully and God will make your circle bigger.

You don’t need a stage to have a platform, nor do you need a live audience to have influence. You just need to start right where you are with people that are right where you are.

Dream big, love God, everything else will work itself out, you just gotta be faithful RIGHT HERE.
