Conquered

May 21, 2012

The last night of #shine2012 Christine Caine delivered a mammoth message on allowing God to use your life. She gave the analogy of your life being a stadium where God digs the foundation and builds the stadium of your life so that he can use you for his call — Your life, His platform. Many people give up in the early stages of construction because the foundation must be deep and it’s uncomfortable and painful at times. Many people never allow the walls to be built and plant a lawn chair where thousands of seats could have been. To say my heart was stirred would be a major understatement.

I’ve spent most of my life worried about timing and fearful I missed any chance of God using my life. I am so thankful that His timing is PERFECT and in my brokenness He continued to fill my hearts foundation with His plan. Two years ago I made a decision to surrender totally and I walked back onto my construction site. Tearfully I am watching the stadium walls going up and seats being installed. I am believing that whatever God has in-store for me that I will humbly accept it and reverently walk it out.

I read recently that ,”only the conquered can know true blessedness” – A.W. Tozer

God wants to conquer our hearts. He wants to use us at full capacity but He can’t if we have our own blueprint of what our stadium, of what our life is supposed to look like. I am not sure what you need to surrender today but my prayer is that you will light your plans on fire and allow God to rewrite His will upon your soul. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11 I’ve found that If we’d just let go of all we think to be right and true, God will fill us with what is perfect, and true.

We might well pray for God to invade and conquer us, for until He does, we remain in peril from a thousand foes… – A.W. Tozer ( God’s Pursuit of Man )
